It can also help to increase the frequency of your contractions if you are trying to progress. If you are not in labor yet, but are ready to be, the use of aromatherapy and acupressure in your massage can help to stimulate uterine contractions and get things moving.

Labor massage is only available to clients who are at least 39 weeks pregnant. If you schedule a labor massage and are earlier in your pregnancy, it will be changed to a prenatal massage.

*Disclaimer: Induction and augmentation massage is not guaranteed to work. Inductions only work if your body and your baby are ready. This is why a significant number of medically induced people wind up with Cesareans due to "failure to progress". During your labor induction massage, you will learn the locations of the acupressure points, how to stimulate them, and will be sent home with a handout including all of the points and suggestions for aromatherapy.
